This game-used, MLB-authenticated baseball comes from the Angels 7-6 win vs the A's in Oakland, on 4/4/2017. This specific ball was was used in the bottom of the 1st inning - pitched by the Angels pitcher Matt Shoemaker 5 times to Healy - who would strike the 5th offering for a 420ft Homer to centerfield. As noted on the cert, the ball bounced back on to the field and was recovered by a ball-boy for the A's- who would remove it from play and subsequently provide it to the authenticator to be authenticated. This is Healy's 14th career HR and 83rd career hit. Authenticated balls such as this are sent mid-game to sale to the public, and are sold by the team. The authentication is input by the on-site MLB authenticators, who apply the holograms and enter the details of the play. Authentications can be verified through the MLB.com site.
