( Shown in the last picture )NOTE: The paper used for the drawings are in very good stable condition, To avoid adhering tape for mounting the paintings they were placed in polyester archival sleeves and then mounted. They are housed in vintage frames adding linen mat board, silver fillet surround and non glare UV protective glass.Valentina Khodasevich was working with Vasiliy Vaynonen and Leonid Jakobson for ballet "Golden Age" by Dmitri Shostakovich Khodasevich V. M. is significant as an artist, stage designer and memorialist. Valentina Mikhaylovna is a niece of the famous poet and prose writer V. Khodasevich. Studied in art studios of F. Rerberg (Moscow, 1908-1910), Essig (Munich, 1910-1911), K. Van-Dongen (Paris, 1911-1912). Since 1919 to 1912 worked as stage designer in Narodnaya Komediya theatre. Designed performances in Moscow and Leningrad theatres, including BDT (the Bolshoi Dramatic Theatre), Aleksandriyskiy theatre, Mariinskiy theatre. Made a significant contribution to formation of new ways of decorating stages and tricks.
