She is the young character of Christmas who accompanies the Russian Santa Claus, named Ded Moroz ,when he is delivering Christmas presents to sleeping children. She is wearing an authentic, historical Russian costume of a fur coat and a matching carved wood headpiece. She stands 11 3/4" tall and is about 4 1/2" wide at the base of her coat.Her clothes are made of a figured , almost satin-like cloth in a tan/ copper color. The figure's hands and head are made of a porcelain/composition material. From the waist down, the doll is made of a cardboard cone.She was made in St. Petersburg, Russia.
