Khrulyov is the highest military educational institution in Russia. The Academy traces its history back to March 31, 1900, when for the first time in the world a special military educational institution for the rear was created in St. Petersburg - the Quartermaster Course for the training of officers and officials of the Quartermaster Department. In 1918, it was transformed into the Military Economic Academy of the Red Army, in 1920 the academy was merged with the Higher Naval Financial and Economic School and became known as the Military Economic Academy of the Red Army and the RKKF, on the basis of which the Military Academy of Logistics and Transport was created ( 1956). In 2012, it was renamed the Military Academy of Logistics.
