Royal York Hotel Toronto Tray Silverplate Circa 1930 12 X 9 Silver Soldered CPR

This tray is silver plated and was from The Royal York Hotel of Toronto. The Royal York was the flagship hotel for the Canada Pacific Railway hotel chain, CPR. These pieces are very difficult to find, in any condition. The tray is from the 1930's era, made by The Internation Silver Company of Canada which started in 1922. The tray is nickel plated silver and noted to be silver soldered. Typically silver soldered pieces are silver plate with a thicker coating of silver than plated items. The tray has the "RY" emblem and crown on the front as seen, in super condition. The tray has scratches as is not untypical of pieces from this era, when you can find them at all. The tray measures 12.25" X 9~7/16". It lays completely flat and is heavier than one would expect. It weighs just under 3 pounds! Would be a great accent piece for any piece of silver or plate, especially if you have something from this illustrious hotel. Selling as is. Please see all the pictures.
