Description: Royal Vienna Hand Painted Cherubs & Gold Floral & Scrollwork Open Sugar C. 1770 Nice antique 18th century porcelain open sugar. Decorated with hand painted cherubs in the clouds surrounded by small gold flowers. Gold gilding and scrollwork along the edge. Marked on the bottom with an underglaze hand painted blue shield mark. Produced by the imperial factory in Vienna around 1770, before they started using the impressed date codes. Has some wear to the gilding and a small area of the edge that has been broken off at one time and glued back on with small associated losses. Otherwise good condition. Measures approximately 5 7/8 inches long x 3 1/2 inches wide x 1 3/8 inches tall. This is an antique and may have small in manufacture defects that do not affect the display of the piece.
