Description: Viking "Chaos Cross" Shield This Viking styled shield has a unique Chaos Cross design inspired by those used by Viking warriors known as Berserkers. The shield is made out of a smooth composite wood (which is in many ways stronger and more durable than plywood). It also has a aluminum metal disc attached to the center for greater protection. This aluminum plate is quite strong, and should hold up well against the rigors of combat. Dual leather straps are used to comfortably secure the arm along the back; one going over the forearm and one strap intended to be gripped or held. Our leather strap system makes shield carrying comfortable and natural. The shield has also been applied with several coats of varnish to further protect and preserve it from wear. It measures about 25 inches in diameter. Please note, in order to protect our images and our products we have watermarked our photo. The shield does not actually have the name of our business on the front of it. This item would be perfect for that upcoming Renaissance Festival in your area, or maybe some backyard brawling between friends.
