I started collecting memorabilia and autographs around 1983 by TTMing (sending autograph requests Through The Mail) and attending card shows in the suburban Philadelphia area. I had the great honor to meet dozens of former great players like Judy Johnson, Ernie Banks, Stan Musial, Steve Carlton, Mike Schmidt, Robin Roberts, Juan Samuel (my favorite player), Pete Rose, and many more. My main autograph targets were Hall of Fame baseball players and players who debuted after 1950, using Jack Smalling's "Baseball Address Guide." I actively added to my collection until 1991 when I went to college and took several years off. In 1996 a friend gave me an autographed Rocky Bleier photo re-sparking my interest in the hobby. Since then I’ve been collecting mainly Pittsburgh Steelers memorabilia. Now that retirement age is approaching quickly, I decided it’s time to let go of the collection I’ve worked on for the last 35+ years.
