Description: Striking seated Honey Bear paperweight, originally designed by Louise Abelin in 1934. Lovely gloss white with light grey shadows. Produced in 1996 when Rookwood was owned by Arthur Townley who purchased Rookwood in 1982 and produced small batches of pottery from Rookwood molds after the original Rookwood Pottery had closed in 1967. Beautiful, hard to find piece. Condition: no chips, cracks, repairs. or crazing.Marks: Faint impression RP flame mark. Hand incised 1996 over 5485, piece 101 of 500.Dimensions: 4 1/4" high, 3 1/2" wide, 4 1/2 " deep.
