Description: We are pleased to offer a very large and handsome silverplated ladle in the Roman pattern from Gorham. The design is bold pattern with a large oval cartouche at the top; it was introduced in 1866. This piece is heavy and elegant - and an early pattern that was the first commercial pattern made by Gorham. Condition: Excellent - no silver wear or loss, heel wear or shadows. There is a scripted E D monogram; the pattern is crisp and well defined. It has been hand polished so there will be no surprises; any dark spots that appear in the photos are reflections only.
