Description: Roland TR-909 OS 4.0 EPROM Firmware Upgrade KIT [Midi Timing Fix]Firmware OS v4.0 is the latest operating system issued by Roland for the TR-909Included will be brand new EPROM chip, which will be labeled accordingly to indicate which IC socket the EPROM is to be installed.This firmware works to resolve the TR-909’s lagging sequencer and sync loss when playing internal patterns or while slaved to an incoming MIDI clock.The Roland TR-909 itself is not for sale, only the EPROM upgrade chip will be supplied.Roland had cut costs by not including removable EPROM sockets with the TR-909 and so will require you to desolder the existing EPROM at socket IC 609 of the switch board. I find this to be quite useful and informativeBe sure to take note of the marked orientation notch on the side of the EPROM to ensure correct installation. EPROMS inserted backwards will be destroyed.
