Description: Robert Held a popular Canadian art glass blower unusual finishes and 'threads' in glass are outstanding in this smaller bud vase, hand blown, 4" tall and 3" wide. The vase is signed on the bottom edge (a little difficult to read, best to shine a light at a slant) Held Art Glass and as well a paper sticker that reads Robert Held Art Glass, Made in Canada. It is a mottled purple all over glass pattern and features 'threads' of silver, gold, aqua and blue that surround the vase in free form. Perfect size for a small gathering of flowers or feature a single, bold bloom. A long time collector of art glass, beginning even as a child. I maintain a few of Mr. Held's captivating vases along with many other amazing glass artists. The Laguna Art Festival was a treat at age 13...81 now, those amazing artists had my attention and later at the Sawdust festival in Laguna Beach California. This vase was not used for flowers, this was in a glass front display case. Others used at my desk and dresser top along with a few of my collection. Space has become a commodity and now wish to find a new home for this work of art!
