LB R1947 JOHN WAYNE Welcome to the auction of a 1947 Re-Release Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked One-Sheet Size Movie Poster ( measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) of RIDERS OF DESTINY. Riders of Destiny, the 1933 Robert N. Bradbury directed romantic cowboy western ("A great western star in a Whirlwind of Action!") stars John Wayne, Cecilia Parker, Forrest Taylor, George 'Gabby' Hayes, Al St. John (billed as "Al 'Fuzzy' St. John"), and Yakima Canutt. NOTE: The poster is undated, but it has a litho number, and comparing this number to a database of litho numbers taken from actual movie posters, it is easy to determine that this poster is a re-release from 1947. Overall Condition Pre-Restoration: FINE. The poster had tiny paper loss at the crossfolds and minor fold and border wear. The poster was nicely backed with top quality materials, the photo's are of the actual example you will recieve. One has been run through photoshop, one has not, that is the only difference.
