He was on two World Series winning teams and was a perennial All-Star, Stolen Base Leader, and Silver Slugger. He holds the MLB all-time stolen base and runs scored records, has his jersey number retired by the A’s, and is in both the Oakland Athletics and National Baseball Halls of Fame. After he passed away, surprisingly to most, on December 20, 2024, he is being remembered for his exciting and flashy playing style and his engaging and colorful personality. This lot of his cards pictured here covers the years 1981-1991 and the Bowman, Donruss, Fleer, Kmart, Score, Sportflics, Topps, and Upper Deck trading card companies. Long-term storage has been a climate-controlled, smoke-free home inside top-loading plastic sheets and plastic boxes with no previous owners.
