At the time the fixture was dingy, dusty, and somewhat unsightly. The wiring was deteriorating and unsafe. The painted portion of the canopy's finish was discolored and peeling. As such, the decision was made to completely restore the lamp. The restoration process included: Complete disassemblyCleaning of all partsHand sanding of the canopy's original paint finishApplying 2 coats of high quality to replicate the original colorRewiring using new cloth covered wire to math originalInstallation of replacement hardware where necessaryReassemblyElectrical testing The fixture has a glass shade that is about 15-1/4" in diameter. The installed fixture has a 29" drop. The drop can be reduced by removing some of the links of the new 11" chain. The canopy is about 5-1/4" in diameter. All glass parts are free of cracks, chips, and repairs. The new mounting hardware shown in the photos is included in this listing making this chandelier ready to install.
