Made by and marked 6, William Gale & Son, 925 sterling.The interior of the dish is gilt. Monogrammed "HEP" in ornate period script. This amazing open salt dish measures 2 1/2" long, 2 7/16" wide, 1 9/16" tall, and weighs 48 grams or 1.7 ozt.The soft, warm, original finish is present, with no buffing or machine polishing.The excellent original condition and clear, crisp detail, with no removals, repairs or alterations, make this an especially attractive offering.
