We purchased this poster at the special exhibition celebrating the work of French Impressionist Pierre-Auguste Renoir, held at the Art Institute of Chicago in 1997-1998. - Framed poster of Luncheon of the Boating Party, 1880-1881 oil-on-canvas painting by Pierre-Auguste Renoir.- Custom framed in a frosted blue aluminum frame.- Behind Glass - Framed by Michaels - Hanging wire attached- Poster only, measures approximately 24" x 23"- Framed size is 25 1/2" x 24 1/2"- The poster is in very good condition, the colors are strong and vibrant, no fading.- Frame has a few minor scratches on the sides.- [The painting depicts a group of Renoir's friends relaxing on a balcony along the Seine river. It includes figures who appear to be Renoir's close friends, Eugène Pierre Lestringez and Paul Lhote, flirting with actress Jeanne Samary in the upper right-hand corner.
