Description: This fabulous Bronze Samurai by Maitland Smith will turn heads when you add him to your decor. A coordinated female Geisha is also listed in our EBay store should you desire the couple, although they are sold separately. This incredibly detailed bronze casting stands at 14 inches tall by 8 inches at longest width and he is about 5.5" thick. Created in the late 1900's, this artwork is a high quality version of an early 1920's statue of Shijo Kingo, a famous Samurai in the 13th century. Unlike the 1920's statue, this one is significantly larger, and has much more intricate details and a beautiful bronze finish (the 1920's statues were patinaed gold finish and painted features). Produced in the Philippines using bronze casting techniques. The item is perfect for collectors and enthusiasts of Japanese art, and would make a great addition to any collection. The intricate details of the Samurai's armor and the dynamic pose of the figure make it a true work of art. Not only is this statue a stunning addition to any art collection, but it also has practical applications as a decorative piece. The coveted Asian style makes it a unique and eye-catching addition to any room. This single piece unit is perfect for those who appreciate the beauty and elegance of bronze casting. This bold Samurai has the factory leather pad attached to its base, along with aftermarket cloth pads to avoid scratching and scarring surfaces. The Maitland insignia is beneath the leather base. Again, the Samurai and the Geisha are being sold separately, but if you are interested in the pair, reach out to us first and we may be able to combine the shipping that will save you some on shipping.
