Fender bridge plate. I replaced the pots with beefier 250 k pots, and replaced the bridge pick-up with a generic Tele p'up. Measures just under 7 ohms. The neck is the star. More old school chinkier c shape. The body is maybe Pine, but not quite sure as the guitar weighed in just under 7 lbs. Plays great. Its spanky and spunky. I did a comp with my Top of the line K-Line Telecaster (Truxton) just to compare. The guitar is on the brighter side in the bridge position. Not egregiously bad, just brighter. A pick-up upgrade there might be a nice boost. I got some good tones, but the the balance between the two pick-ups was just a bit off. Mind you I'm used to $1500 guitars so not surprising. I popped in some 250 k pots to chill out the high end. It's very subtle change through the dial. See video. I did wire it correct. Overall a complete looker, and very playable guitar. Perfect for upgrades, or as is. No case. Just a cheapo gigbag. Not dying to sell this as its quite stunning. I just have too many guitars, and a few winter project guitars lined up. I bumped ship up for all the surcharges I'm already seeing for the holiday season. They're gouging us right now.
