The silver oxidized medal of St. Joan of Arc is 1" and made in Italy.Joseph Staub, in religion Brother Marie-Clément, (July 2, 1876, Kaysersberg - May 16, 1936, Sillery), is a French Catholic priest and preacher, founder of the Sisters of Saint Joan of Arc. Returning to the Augustinians of the Assumption, he took the habit in 1896, under the name of Brother Marie-Clément, finished his studies in Rome, where he obtained his doctorate in philosophy and theology, and was ordained priest on March 19, 1904. Sent successively to Louvain, to Gempe, then to London, he met, through common acquaintances, Édith Royer in 1908. In 1910, Staub joined the Assumption College in Worcester, Massachusetts in the United States. He founded the Congregation of the Sisters of Saint Joan of Arc in 1914, mainly established in the United States and Canada, in order to support the sisters devoted to the apostolate of priests and religious. On May 2, 1917, he obtained from Cardinal Louis-Nazaire Bégin, Archbishop of Quebec, the authorization to establish in this diocese the Assumptionist Fathers and to the Sisters of Saint Joan of Arc, as well as to found there a Canadian center for the Archconfraternity of prayer and penance (known as the “Canadian Montmartre”). On April 3, 2014, he was declared venerable by Pope Francis. His feast day is celebrated on May 16.
