Description: For sale is a vintage Regina Extra "America 1992" aluminum 8 speed freewheel. The body and ratchet mechanism are steel and the sprockets are aluminum. This freewheel is about 2/3rds the weight of its all steel counterpart with a weight savings of about 130 grams or about 5 ounces. It is English threaded. The sprocket sizes are 12-13-14-15-16-17-19-21 teeth. This freewheel is in very good condition with 1 exception. There is a chip in the push in plastic dust shield that says "Regina Extra". It can be seen in the last 2 pictures. In the next to last picture it is just below the "na" in the "Regina". Once the cap is pushed in and the freewheel in threaded on you can not see the chip even if you're looking for it. Otherwise it is in very good shape. It is used with low miles. The sprocket teeth are sharp are in very good condition with minimal wear and rounding of corners as can be seen in the photos. The spline for removal is perfect as are the threads that secure it on the hub. The freewheel spins freely and smoothly as good as when new and it has that classic Regina sound when freewheeling.
