Description: Listing is for one highly ornate Victorian cast iron Bin, Apothecary, Cupboard, drawer pull. Original finish unknown. May have been brass plated or painted black or a combination of the two with black enamel in the recessed areas and brass plate on the raised portions. After all the old paint was removed there was no evidence of what was original remaining. These have been cleaned down to the bare metal repainted. Some of my buyers also use the as dressed up window sash or drawer pulls. Very solid and decorative. Better finish than most of the cast iron ones you see. Many of the cast iron ones had a very rough, cheaply cast and unpolished finish. This has a finer, more finished quality look than most that hopefully you can see in the pictures.
