Description: Was $175. The New Senior uniform was introduced in 1948 but not made available until 1951. As Girls entered High School, the age of Seniors, many girls requested an alternate uniform rather than the Dress. They wanted a more stylish outfit so ever mindful that current styling is very important to a teenager, an Official Alternate Senior Uniform consisting of a white blouse and Green Skirt was introduced in 1951. This is for a VERY RARE Vintage ALTERNATE SENIOR UNIFORM. It is NOT an Alternate Intermediate or Cadette Uniform. It consisting of a white blouse and green skirt was introduced in the fall of 1950. The 6 Gored Skirt was trim fitting and made of medium dark green gabardine. It DOES NOT have the tab with logo on it which is different from the Cadette Skirts. It has Pockets fitted into EACH SIDE SEAM and NON SLIP INNER WAISTBAND. It featured an ADJUSTABLE WAIST ZIPPER. VERY RARE. The white broadcloth blouse had a pocket strip with a green and yellow design and white trefoil buttons. On the Blouse are the World Association & Trefoil Pins and 2 year stars. It was suggested that the Scouts choose the same uniform for their troop so they would all look alike. There weren’t any Identification Strips yet-they were designed for Seniors in 1960. The Tie has Green Trefoil print on white acetate linen. The Hat was the Dark Green Overseas style with a Metal Trefoil Emblem sewn on. There was No Sash, Belt or Sox with this uniform. This uniform skirt is in great condition. Some of these skirts faded to red spots because this is due to the material of the skirts at that time-rayon gabardine. This one is in nice shaped considering the years.. The 1957 Calendar has not been used but has the cover only torn. The rest of it is in beautiful shape. This has been in my collection for over 40 years coming from a Smoke Free home. Please see pictures for Condition and Measurements. My uniforms cost more than others on here because I take Pride in my uniforms taking the time to do research and make sure all the items are correct for that year. They are Clean and ironed.
