No Chips or signs of cracked glazing.Item measures: 5-1/4" Diamond Jim’s was a members only nightclub located in Lilydale, Minnesota along the Mississippi river just south of the Twin Cities of Minneapolis/St. Paul. Red Wing Pottery produced a line custom plates for Diamond Jim’s Restaurant in Minnesota. This plate is the smaller in the collection and features an antique automobile in reddish pink and black colors. This line was produced exclusively for the restaurant trade by Red Wing Pottery. Restaurant pieces were produced in the Empire Shape had a vertical ribbed design on the exterior or around the rim. Pieces were heavy and sturdy, designed to withstand rough and repeated use. The artwork on Diamond Jim plates featured an antique automobile. A different auto appeared on each of the five plate sizes. This is the smallest plate in the collection. The auto is dark pinkish/red and black against a creamy white background. The entire rim of each plate (not just a trim line) was dark pink. The antique auto motif has great appeal to collectors, and the limited scope of production makes Diamond Jim"s plates difficult to find and highly sought after. FINAL SALE, NO RETURNS!!!
