Description: These boots are made with Red Wing's premium Black Chrome Tanned Leather, which makes the leather seem polished without the need to actually polish the boots. By simply keeping the boots cleaned and conditioned they will retain their glossy aesthetic. The exterior of the soles were painted black by the previous owner, and I did what I could to remove the paint without risking damage to the leather. Though I achieved some success in removing the paint, I avoided using the applied paint remover on certain portions of the soles to avoid coming into contact with the leather, which is why the soles of these 2268s look slightly different than is normal for the style. These boots run true to size. I normally wear US 10.5D boots, and the 10.5D 2268s fit quite well. These 11.5D 2268s should fit someone who normally wears US 11.5D boots, and possibly someone who normally wear a slightly smaller sized boot after putting in footbeds. It's worth mentioning these 2268s are factory firsts.
