Description: Now being offered is Beautiful Reclaimed yarn, that I personally processed. It's exciting to have and use unique yarns that aren't available on the store shelves. This yarn, (in my opinion), is a Lt.3 Wt. It is made up of strands twisted into 1 single strand. Beautiful colorway of grays to black, light to dark. 782 total yards. 14.1oz. total Wool/Poly/Acrylic blend Soft (in my opinion). Caked with a center pull. Uses: Crocheting, weaving, knitting, tapestry etc., the creative possibilities are endless. I have personally woven and crocheted many items using reclaimed yarn, without any problems at all. Metallic threads maybe extra stretchy and a tad loose. I would not recommend using some types of reclaimed yarns on knitting machines. (reclaimed yarn that lays like fingers, side by side, do not do well on knitting machines.) My honest opinion only. Each hank or cake group of yarn is from a garment that has been carefully chosen for it's colorway, feel, and fiber content. Each garment is properly cleaned and dried before processing. And stored in a smoke free home. All info retrieved from garment as to: fiber/s, etc is written on tags attatched to each hank or cake, along with the counted yardage. I do not straighten the waves/wrinkles out of the yarn, as that process removes the individual character of each yarn. Some hanks or cakes, may or may not have tiny knots, either placed there by myself or by the yarn's previous garment manufacturer. If there are more than 2 knots in a hank or cake, it will be indicated by a red mark on the tag. Description of the color/s of the yarn may differ slightly because monitors are not all callibrated the same. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have before purchasing.
