Reciprocating archimedian drill, pat . 1882

Description: Archimedian Drill-Offered is a vintage Archimedian Reiprocating drill measuring 15 1/2" long when closed marked "A. H. Reid, Phila., Pat. 10-12-1882". Operates very smoothly with good wood, top knob of exotic wood in excellent condition. Shaft or body appears to be plated brass. Chuck has spring loaded pin catch. Included is a taper end slot driver bit by Buck Bros. that fits the chuck. Both pieces have owner identification red paint added. A nice well preserved drill.
