Description: This is a tooth from a Sauropod dinosaur - Rebbachisaurus garasbae. It was found S. of Taouz, in the Moroccan Sahara and is approximately .884 inches in length. This fossil comes with a nice display box and information label. Rebbachisaurus was from the Cretaceous period, about 100 million years ago! This was a long-necked, vegetarian dinosaur with many round, peg-like teeth. The teeth from these types of dinosaurs were often worn flat through the continual grinding action required to chew up vegetation. Cretaceous sauropod fossils are unusually rare in Morocco, compared with carnivores. These sauropod teeth are becoming increasingly difficult to find.Included with the tooth is a certificate of authenticity. We have a variety of other Rebbachisaurus teeth.
