Description: OVERVIEW The Lanny is a compact tactical design loosely inspired by a Lanny's Clip traditional knife. Liong Mah loves that particular design by Tony Bose and wanted to adapt it into something for today's EDC market with modern materials and a uniquely Mah-styled blade. He's hit it out of the park with this one by creating a knife that you cannot help but love. First off, the blade is simply beautiful. It's made from hand-ground Damasteel with excellent jimping, a small sharpening choil, fuller, and perfectly acid etched finish. The main edge is hollow ground for keen slicing ability while the tip is flat ground for additional strength. Being done by hand, the intersection of these two will vary for every knife in this 175-piece limited run. It also gives the knife a truly unique look that turns this tactical design into a beautiful work of art. Not to be outdone by the blade, Liong's created a very aesthetically pleasing handle that is a first for the Reate/Mah collaborations...a bolster lock. This style gives you the best of both worlds; a nice thick lock with a replaceable lockbar insert /overtravel arrestor and the matching handle scale look of a bolstered design. And there's just something about playing with a bolster lock, it's just so much more fun than a traditional frame lock. This beauty is outfitted with blue anodized titanium hardware, a wired wheel finished titanium frame, backspacer, clip, and carbon fiber scales. The flipping action is out of this world SMOOTH!!!!!! Even though this knife was SUPER SMOOTH when I received it, I decided to buy a ceramic bearing set. If the buyer would like, I can install the ceramic bearings or just send them along as part of the deal.
