Description: Up for sale is the book “Life of George Washington”, written for children by E. Cecil and published by Crosby and Nichols in 1862. This book is in good condition, as seen in the pictures, for being 158 years old. It does have some hand writing in it as seen in the pictures. There are some minor stains, but every word is legible. I can provide more pictures upon request, but I randomly stopped throughout the book to show quality and condition. The spine of the book displays nicely and would be a great addition to any bookshelf. Included with this book will be a piece of paper that was in it when I opened it that appears to be a note from a mother to a teacher asking for an excused absence from school on very old paper in good condition. I couldn’t bring myself to separate the two. Who knows how many years they have already spent together.
