As there can be tremendous variation from tail to tail in terms of size, shape, color, pattern, etc., we have photographed each tail one by one so you see what you will be getting. You get the exact one shown in the pictures for this entry. You are getting the tail only, not a full skin. We list full skins with tails elsewhere on this site. The skunks were legally harvested in the wild (mostly in the U.S.) and purchased from fur auctions in Canada. We then tan them in the United States. Many people use skunk tails for making flies for fly fishing as well as for crafts and exotic products. There is a size reference next to a Coke can for a quick guide to size. Tail length is 17.5". Please note that all skunk tails typically have some trace odor from the skunk. It is usually not very pungent, but does exist.
