Description: This handsome looking early mechanical calculator was made by Allen Calculators Inc. of New York in 1938 (based on the serial number 953070). It's the model 95 with a 7-digit display. The paper tape guide and holder are complete and intact (often missing in these old machines), and the ribbon is in place under the cover (the ribbon is dry however and needs to be replaced -the print is barely visible). This model is manual with a crank handle, not electric. The body is black enameled steel, the key plate is green steel, and the keys are white, black, and red Bakelite. Two of the red key covers are missing, one at the far upper left, the other at the far lower right. The calculator weighs around 25 pounds unpacked, and the overall dimensions are 13-1/2" long by 10-1/4" wide including the handle by about 10 inches high to the top of the paper tape holder. There is some dust but very little wear, and all keys work. Always happy to combine shipping.
