Description: Rare WW2 Marconi Wireless Telegraph Co. Numbered Lapel Badge. 1940s A rare, genuine Second World War period lapel badge made for Marconi Wireless Telegraph Company employees. Manufactured by Thomas Fattorini Ltd., the face of the badge is decorated in enamel with the Marconi company logo. The reverse is stamped with the maker’s mark, “Thomas Fattorini Ltd - Regent St - Birmingham” and has a button hole fixing stamped with the serial number, “2814”.Diameter: 22.5mm (0.88 inches).Good used condition. The Marconi Company was a British telecommunications and engineering company founded by Italian inventor Guglielmo Marconi in 1897 which was a pioneer of wireless long distance communication and mass media broadcasting, eventually becoming one of the UK's most successful manufacturing companies.(Our ref.
