Description: This is a rare set of 4 vintage lidded soup/rice bowls from Otagiri Mercatile Company (OMC) Japan. The bowls are made of porcelain and feature a traditional Japanese chrysanthemum design. These bowls were part of a large Asian estate collection owned by a Japanese collector who brought these pieces to the States. Crafted by the Otagiri Mercantile Company in Japan. OMC was in business from 1954 until 1994 when they were bought by Enesco. The bowls are perfect for collectors of Japanese cultural pieces and Asian craftsmanship. In excellent vintage condition. Bowls are all perfect, no cracks chips or crazing. One lid has a chip noted in pics. Please refer to pics as they are part of the description. We purchased all available pieces in this rare beautiful collection. The other lots available include a sake set, covered tea cups, traditional tea cups, and small rice bowls.
