Designed in 1985 by Reinhold Weiss (former designer at BRAUN until 1967) for the DIEHL company but the project was stopped and came to JUNGHANS, where a pilot series was produced (most of the clocks WITHOUT! the JUNGHANS logo). The project was then cancelled and contact with R. Weiss was broken off. A wall clock of this type is very rare. A clock with the company logo is a way more rarer! This watch was available in the colors black (368-6640) and white (368-6641) WITHOUT logo with the imprint on the back: MODEL 5W1 MADE IN FRANCE REINHOLD WEISS DESIGN / CHICAGO Without this imprints on the back it 1st got the JUNGHANS DIAL LOGO and 2nd the minute/second hand cover (dot/circle) was larger than the other ones. Later for a short period Junghans sold a few from 1991 to 1993 via their catalogue with the smaller hand cover but if at all, you can only find some without the Junghans logo these days! Tested min. 24 hs Diameter approx 230 mm and 29 mm flat Color: black Very hard to find! Movement W737 by Junghans made in Germany Very good used condition! Tested min. 24hs Movement is a bit loose but when it's on the wall you can adjust it easily and it keeps the position. Ultra rare!
