Description: Rare Stetson here in size 7 1/4 long oval. Brim is 2 3/4. This seems to be a rare or unusual hat in that it has the appearance of a Stratoliner , yet is called an Open Road and has the embroidered liner more typical of other western style Stetson hats. In other words it seems to be an amalgamation of various traits rolled into this particular hat. The liner is stitched into the hat and is in excellent condition. The sweatband is a bit rough but wearable as is and seems to be solid despite its appearance. Furfelt is an unusual color as well as it seems to be both a grey and brown color. Ribbons appear to be original and are very good. Only flaws are slight crease crack in felt at rear where felt has worn through and wear on sweatband. *** Normally I would put a silk pinch protector into the inside of felt to stabilize the old crease where felt is separated . This works good and is an option if new owner wants to add this. Same with replacing sweatband and or full restoration of this hat including cleaning. Or simple wear it as is.
