Description: Rare Vintage Peet’s Coffee Mug. The same very rare 12oz ceramic coffee mug is in the Smithsonian National Museum of American History. The 4 3/4”H x 3 1/2”D mug has the primary logo used in the past of a monkey, a dog and a 6 point star, a design from a Central America ceramic stamp. The white mug has the logo design which wraps around the mug. The logo appears in a dark plum color, the name Peet’s is in black. Alfred Peet was from Holland, he moved to the United States and founded Peet’s Coffee & Tea in 1966. The first Peet’s was located in Berkeley, California.
