Description: Featured is a rare collectible vintage Wednesday, March 18, 1959 dinner menu from the m.v. "Straat Banka" of the Royal Interocean Lines. The front shows three Angel fish in vivid yellow tones. I have one other menu available with the same cover, but dated Tuesday, March 17, 1959. Royal Interocean Lines was originally founded in 1902 as Java-China-Japan Line for the routes in the Far East. After WWII it merged with another company and became Koninklijke Java-China-Paketvaart-Lijnen (KJCPL), later becoming Royal Interocean Lines. It became one of the world's largest and most powerful shipping companies. The menu measures 9” x 11” closed and 11” x 18” open. It is in good condition, with some toning and wear on the edges. Please use the included photos as a condition guide. I am always happy to combine shipping on multiple item purchases. This menu will be shipped protected and flat. Chuck Olson CollectionChuck Olson spent over 40 years collecting and traveling the United States in search of unique vintage prints. He was especially interested in prints that were printed for use on calendars in the "Age of the Calendar" from 1900-1960. Chuck amassed a collection of well over 10,000 framed and unframed prints before his death. Please feel free to contact me with any questions about the item.
