RARE Vintage Huichol CEREMONIAL PRAYER ARROW 15"

Enlarge photos by clicking on them in the main window. Wonderful condition except one feather has a broken shaft, although it's still attached. Ceremonial arrow section; made of reed; piece of reed with notch carved in end; two feathers tied on with string; painted with red stripes. One half wood with point on end; other half reed painted with green and red stripes; tied to reed are carved wooden miniature drum, miniature wooden bow with string, miniature basket, long seeds that rattle, and one round seed, wrapped to the arrow with pink and green acrylic (I think?) yarn. I found this information at The British Museum.org. Look for Museum number Am1978,15.221.l and then you'll find a number of these pieces. All made in the 70s by the Huichol.
