Description: Part of an estate we purchased with some interesting one-of-a-kind entertainment memorabilia. This is a very rare, never-seen-before version of advertising art for the Douglas Fairbanks 1930 movie "Reaching for the Moon". It is of the era, not a modern copy or recent reproduction of any type. I can't find any record online of this version of any sort of poster or lobby card or anything else in this style. The artist's name "Freiman" is above the shoe. This was done to promote Fairbank's movie "Reaching for the Moon" at the United Artists Theater. I believe this was to be run in the newspaper to promote the movie, or perhaps this was to be used as a lobby card. Condition is very nice, with just enough toning and aging to have a nice honest patina of age. Note some bent corners, but nothing distracting. Unframed, no backing, done on heavy art paper. Measures 11" by 14" overall. Proper and respectful shipping practices are always observed here. Thanks!
