Description: Very rare hard to find genuine armadillo 10 string mandolin in very good condition to excellent condition for its age.Not sure if it was made in 1962 or 1995; please see the photo of the label inside the body.This instrument is made with solid wood and genuine armadillo, well constructed with signs of wear and marks from age and use.The whole armadillo body feels very solid. It is missing a few scales showing the lighter color underneath. The binding along the edge of the body and the top also is worn off in a few places as shown in the pictures but no opening or lifting.Please enlarge and examine all the photos for more details and condition.The action at 10th fret is about 3.0 mm. The mandolin has a very nice sound. It is also comfortable and ready to play.The length is 27"The body is about 13" x 9" x 3.5"Width at nut = 35 mm.Scale length = 345 mm.No case.Please check out a sound demo in our VDO by an amateur guitarist, not a mandolin player.
