Description: NO INTERNATIONAL SALES. Up for auction is a Vintage Victorian Wavecrest Wave Crest Opalware Biscuit Jar in Mint Original Condition. I have had this piece for over 20 years packed away. Please take a look at my auction site, I am currently listing many amazing Art Glass pieces I have had stored for years. Beautiful floral motif of Pink Apple Blossoms against the Blue hand painted shoulder of jar which then shades to off white to bottom. Surrounding the top opening are the hand applied dots of white enamel dots. These were used to help adhere the plaster used to attach a Silver Plate ring to the top of the jar but this step was never done. In it's current condition, I am assuming this piece was Never Used, since the Silver Plate ring with handle & lid was never put on the Opalware piece. Also throughout the floral motif it is spotted with the white enamel dots. Floral is as beautiful on the front side as the opposite side. This piece is in MINT condition having NO chips, cracks, breaks, scratches or repairs. It measure 5 7/8" in height, 6" width at shoulder, circumference of shoulder is 18.5" around, top opening measures 4.5" across and base measures 4 1/4" in width.
