Description: Here's an interesting 'behind-the-scenes' look if you were a member of Victor Herbert's famous orchestra over 100 years ago! This memo was probably pinned to a bulletin board backstage where Herbert's musicians could read about sending substitutes to rehearsals/jobs. Also mentions "movie houses" so I'm guessing ca. 1910s-1920 - Herbert died in the spring of 1924. From the tenor of his memo, Herbert sounded like a fair and decent sort of employer. On 8.5 x 11" paper, 4 x 1.5" paper loss at top from being pulled off board, transmittal folds, minor wrinkling at bottom. Winner pays shipping. PayPal payment appreciated within two days of purchase - thank you! We'll happily combine multiple purchases to save you $$ on shipping. Please view our other two Victor Herbert offerings! All sales final and thank you for the privilege of your time! Caveat Emptor
