Description: Offering a rare coin silver soup ladle by George Sharp, Philadelphia. Created circa 1860’s-1870’s. This superb ladle features a large extended etched gilt bowl. A fancy beaded swept back handle leads to a Gothic Ball finial. Signed, Sharp, Patent. Measuring: 13” Long, 3 1/4+” Wide and Weighing 156.1 or 5.5 oz. The condition is near mint. Except for a tiny scratch on the bottom of the bowl this piece is mint. I'm being picky here. The gilding is even, bright and fresh looking. The patina is wonderful. A wonderful opportunity to add to your collection, a great ladle in exceptional condition by one of the best silversmiths of 19th century. Please see my Ebay Store. I’m selling my large collections of Art Nouveau sterling silver and other fine antiques.
