Description: For sale is a rare signed Antique leather/deer hide covered decorative document box. The manufacturer sticker is well intact inside of the lid. The interior is covered with japanned or marble paper. The lock mechanism is original and intact. The manufacturer is Ebenezer Hancock originally of Boston and later of North Hampton Mass. The bottom is signed Henry K Hancock who appears to be a son of the box manufacturer Ebenezer Hancock! Some family history can be found on the internet.
