Description: This listing is for the very scarce, highly collectible book “Java Jive” written by Dorothy Lyons. This is a Stated First Edition Hardcover published by Harcourt Brace and Company, New York 1955 with frontispiece illustrated by Wesley Dennis. This is an exlibrary book with the typical library markings and card pocket adhered to the front inside cover. The Book is in Acceptable Condition with an old price penned on the endpaper. The half title page has an inch long tear along the binding and a 1-inch closed tear on the bottom edge of another page. There is staining and creasing to several of the pages. The binding is sound, no loose or missing pages. A good reading copy of this vintage horse story! I am not a book expert but do try to describe book conditions and flaws that may not be easily visible in the photos.
