Description: The legendary Art Deco 27 story ziggurat building @ One Fifth Avenue in New York City’s Greenwich Village, home to a restaurant and bar on the ground floor is where Robert Mapplethorpe took this photograph of the maitre d Robert. It is in this building that he also photographed Patti Smith for her album Horses. Sam Wagstaff, Robert’s mentor & patron lived at this address. This is an incredibly scarce postcard in very good condition, unposted.
