Description: Rare WWII Supermarine Spitfire Radio Receiver and Transmitter T.R.9D. Actual WWII Spitfire aircraft radio. Condition is very good with very shallow spiderweb corrosion on the front panel and light rust on the case. The inside is quite nice. On one tube the cap has come off and the tube is unusable. Some of the wires have brittle insulation and a connector on the end of the cable is broken. Otherwise remarkably nice and unmolested for its age. The photos tell the story of its condition. You very rarely see these come along! A splendid Christmas present for the Spitfire aficionado. It will be well packed. There are a few papers that came with it and they will be included.
