Description: RARE Original Gamewell Police Telegraph Call Box, w/Original Paint,ca.1915-1925 This is an original, cast iron Gamewell Police Telegraph Call Box from the early 1920’s in excellent condition; appears to have original blue paint and gold overlay lettering. A rare piece of history, most of these call boxes have been repainted many times over, or are repos. This is legit museum quality, manufactured when Gamewell was located in New York (1885-1920's). Later versions , after 1925, have the Newton, MA location on the front of the call box. (Thank you to buyer g1643 for accurate dating of the box.) You're not likely to see another one this nice and all original for some time - once it's gone, it's going to be in someone's collection for good.
