Rare Noble Pointed Vase Murano Sommerso Technique Red-Green around 1970

Description: Template | Trixum Stylish vase in Sommerso technique from Murano Description This beautiful large pointed vase in a stylized flat shape with an asymmetrical upper edge is made using the Sommerso technique, which was only invented in the second half of the 1930s by Carlo Scarpa for the Venini & C. manufacturer. This is glass that is covered with another layer of glass of a different color. This technique was adopted by many other manufacturers, who achieved very different results with it. This vase probably dates from approx. 1960 - 1970. Unfortunately the sticker is no longer readable.The vase is a real work of art. The inner layer of red glass is covered by a layer of greenish glass. The floor is hand sanded. The vase is a real piece of jewelry in any ambience and a real eye-catcher!The vase is approx. 25cm. high and approx. 11.5x7cm. broad. It is in a well-kept, used condition, with signs of wear, light scratches and a small chip at the top of one corner (see photos). Very decorative!
